Ann is a professor at the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in the field of neuroscience. Over the years she has used the glasses to enliven her lectures on hearing to students of all ages. She has studied piano, French horn, and cello in the past.

     Jonathan at present works for the Shodor Education Foundation in Durham, NC. He is a graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, where he majored in music and computer science. He has played cello since the age of 7 in orchestras and chamber groups. He is layout editor of Glass Music World, the newsletter of Glass Music International.

     John Moore, husband, father, and neuroscientist at Duke University, is the technical support system for the glasses. He has constructed the current pedestal system as well as previous arrangements, and is in charge of audio and videotaping.
